Privacy Policy
Dental Cost SA is an independent information service. We run no accounts and collect no personal information from you directly — there is no contact or enquiry form on this site. This notice explains the analytics we use and, importantly, what happens when you choose to use a finance or insurance partner. It is provided in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act).

Who we are
Dental Cost SA (“we”, “us”) publishes indicative dental-treatment price ranges and general information for South African readers. For the limited analytics described below, we are the responsible party (data controller). We are not a credit provider, a financial services provider (FSP), a credit intermediary or a registered debt counsellor, and we do not give financial advice.
What we collect
We do not ask you for, receive or store your name, ID number, contact details or financial information. The only data processed on our side is anonymous, aggregated website-usage data via analytics cookies (below). Any personal details you enter into a partner’s finance form are submitted directly to that partner — not to us (see “Finance & insurance partners”).
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and processes usage signals (such as pages viewed, approximate region and device/browser type, with IP handling anonymised by Google) to give us aggregate statistics on which pages are useful. We use this only in aggregate; we do not attempt to identify individuals. See Google’s Privacy Policy, and you can control analytics via your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out.
Finance & insurance partners (please read)
Some pages show finance banners, links and a loan-comparison form from third-party partners. These are clearly marked Sponsored. When you click a finance link or complete a partner form:
- You are interacting with, and submitting your details directly to, that partner — currently uApply.co.za (a licensed loan-comparison service), the OfferForge affiliate network (which operates the tracking domains ofaffb.co.za and of0101.com), and Century Financial Services (Lime24). Each is the responsible party for the personal information you give them.
- Before your details are shared with any credit provider, the partner will ask for your express consent to a credit check and to their terms and privacy policy. That consent is given to, and recorded by, the partner — not by us. We never see, receive or store the information you enter.
- To attribute referrals we place or read small tracking identifiers (a 1×1 impression pixel and click/“sub-ID” parameters) via the OfferForge tracking domains. These identify the referring page, not you personally.
- Please review the partner’s own privacy policy before submitting anything: uApply.co.za and OfferForge.
Affiliate disclosure
Some finance, insurance and payment links are affiliate/referral links, and we may earn a commission — at no cost to you — if you apply or take up an offer. This never changes our guidance or the price ranges we show. All credit is granted by registered credit providers and is subject to their affordability assessment; interest, fees and terms are set by the provider.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no personal information about you directly, most requests about a finance or insurance application must be directed to the relevant partner (uApply, OfferForge or the credit provider), who holds that data. Data security, retention & children
As we store no personal information, there is no personal data for us to retain or expose. Analytics data is retained by Google per your Google Analytics settings. This site and its content are not directed at children under 18, and finance offers are for adults only.
Changes
We may update this policy as our partners or tools change. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
